The experienced centre-back becomes Rangers’ sixth new addition of the summer transfer window. Davies spent eight years at Preston North End with loan spells at York City, Tranmere Rovers, Southport, Newport County and Fleetwood Town before joining Liverpool in 2021. Last season he was on loan at Sheffield United in the English Premier League, playing 23 times for the promotion-chasing Blades. Speaking after signing his contract, Davies said: “I’m really excited to be joining Rangers and I’m really looking forward to taking this next step in my career. Giovanni van Bronckhorst said: “I would like to welcome Ben to our team and I am delighted that he has joined the club. He is a strong defender with great skill and will add further to our options in this area.” Sporting director Ross Wilson added: “I am delighted that Ben has chosen Rangers as the next step in his career and Giovanni and our coaching staff look forward to working with him as we move into the new season.” ᅠ
