(Jaison Empson / CBC) The Manitoba RCMP is preparing to close all major highways in the southern part of the province as a major spring blizzard approaches. In a press release issued shortly after 8 p.m., the RCMP said it had decided to close all major roads around midnight on Tuesday or whenever it started to snow. Police strongly advise people not to travel and warn those who do so that rescuers may not be able to help them if they are trapped or need help.
