Mo Salah, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold looked a bit like a boys’ band as they went to the pool for a recovery session after Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Benfica on Tuesday.
The Liverpool trio were full of smiles as they posed for a photo after disbanding Nelson Verissimo’s team at the Estadio da Luz in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
In their next game in front of the gates, Jurgen Klopp’s men were seen washing their feet and preparing for their Premier League clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

Salah was seen smiling in his Instagram post despite failing to score on Tuesday
Salah shared a photo of himself standing next to Robertson and Alexander-Arnold in the pool at 1.30am on Wednesday morning. He wrote in the caption of the photo: “Recovery time”.
The Egyptian international was seen smiling despite the recent goal drought. As it stands, Salah has not scored in an open game since February 19 against Norwich.
The three goals that followed then came against Leeds (two) and Brighton – but they were all from the penalty spot, with the last one at Amex Stadium on March 12.
He was hoping to add to his tally against Benfica on Tuesday night, however, it was not meant to be. Instead, it was Ibrahima Konate, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz who found the net to secure a 3-1 victory for Liverpool.

Liverpool will now focus on their Premier League clash with Manchester City
Robertson and Alexander-Arnold played a key role in the Champions League match at the Estadio da Luz.
Robertson provided the assist for Konate’s opening – having found the 28-year-old in the 17th minute of the corner kick.
Alexander-Arnold had to thank for the second goal after giving a diagonal pass to Diaz, who set up Manet.
Liverpool will now turn their attention to Sunday, as they are ready to face Manchester City at the top of the standings.
With just one point separating the top two teams in the Premier League, Sunday’s result could have a huge impact on the title race.
