But now the plot is thickening, as a new rumor says today that we should expect a newer, top-of-the-line Watch5 Pro to top the Watch5 and Watch5 Classic on Samsung’s roster later this year. And this Galaxy Watch5 Pro is said to come with a huge 572 mAh battery. To put this in perspective, the larger Galaxy Watch4 / Classic models have a 361 mAh cell. Thus, this would be almost 60% more capacity in the upcoming watch, which would probably still give less than two days of battery life for the most intensive users. That said, those who do not activate all the features can actually spend 48 hours using such a setting and that sounds exciting. And yet, there are reservations that need to be taken into account. First of all, this is likely to be released at an even higher price than the Galaxy Watch4 Classic 46 mm, which was not cheap by itself. Then all we have at the moment is an unconfirmed rumor, although the model number for the supposed Watch5 Pro (SM-R925) appears on a Korean certification. It just means that a Samsung device with such a model number is in the works, however, and because it starts with an R, we know it is portable. No other details have been released and even the alleged sources of this rumor have claimed that it is not 100% “confirmed” that the Watch5 Pro would actually be released – Samsung could remove the project. Hopefully not, and also hopefully the Watch5 family will be released with some of the best straps from Watch4 devices. Source
