Superintendent Greg Upham announced the closure on Monday, adding that classes are expected to resume on Wednesday. Check the site’s site for additional updates. Visit the Q2 weather page for the latest. Following is the full email from Upham: After consultation with the local meteorological service, Billings Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. The forecast is severe weather with heavy snowfall accompanied by strong winds, causing extreme conditions for non-movement with limited visibility. Due to the force of the storm, they refer to it as “unique” and that which appears only periodically. We plan the resumption of normal operation of the schools on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, with the holidays starting on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Any additional updates will be available on the website of the district.
