The city also wrote on Twitter later Tuesday that it was temporarily closing Selkirk Park, which is located on the Red River, as an additional precautionary measure, as it builds a precautionary mound during the launch of the park’s boat.
Currently, the risk of flooding along the Red River is moderate, according to the city’s website.
Earlier on Tuesday, the province of Manitoba issued a flood warning for areas around Morris and St. Louis. Jean Baptiste, along with an anti-flood clock from Emerson in St. Louis. Jean and from Morris to the Red River Floodway entrance, just south of Winnipeg.
Πόλη The city has just received notice that the Selkirk Bridge is closed until further notice due to the high water level at HWY 204 on the east side of the river.
The only impact on Selkirk is the closure of the bridge.

Warnings are issued when river levels exceed or are expected to exceed the flood stage within the next 24 hours. A clock is issued when levels approach and are likely to reach the flood stage, but are unlikely within the next 24 hours, the province says.
The water level is expected to peak between Emerson and the Red River Floodway entrance between April 8 and 15.
