There are many hidden characters and tricks to optimizing your Gmail experience – including removing a bold email. More than 300 billion emails were sent a day in 2020 – and many of them were written, sent and received on Google’s Gmail platform. Gmail accounts for 1.8 billion of the 5.6 billion active email accounts – and each account does much more than just send and receive.

Remove email

Sure, everyone has sent a message via cyberspace that they would like to get back immediately – in Gmail, it’s possible. After sending an email, a small box will appear at the bottom right asking if you want to undo the send – click directly on the word “undo” after sending it and clicking anywhere else will make the selection disappear. In the default settings, the undo icon will appear on the screen for five seconds – this can be changed in the settings.

Advanced search is a useful tool for locating information that is buried in your inbox. You can access the advanced search tool by clicking on the three-slider icon in the search box at the top of your inbox. You can search by sender, recipient, date, words – you can even narrow down the search to an email by searching for the missing words. Color coding of important messages

Starring messages places your most critical emails in a separate folder. But these messages can be further organized with color-coded stars. Enable more color options by going to settings, scrolling down to the general tab, and dragging more color options to the “in use” section.

Smart composition

Google’s writing suggestions are a blessing in disguise for users who write in traditional office language. By simply typing in the beginning of a phrase, Gmail will suggest the rest of it, saving you typing and time. Smart syntax can be turned on and off in settings – Google even receives feedback on how to improve the quality of Smart Syntax phrases. Custom inboxes

Gmail’s default layout is rather basic to the masses. However, users can prioritize their emails by clicking on the quick setting gear icon and selecting a custom inbox based on what they want to see first: unread, starred, or significant. You can apply the multi-inbox feature, which can move all bot messages to a different inbox.

Confidential operation

An email can disappear, like a Snapchat. You can set an expiration date in a private email by clicking the lock icon next to the send button. Your employer may revoke the privacy feature of your network, preventing employees from sending missing messages. You can mute a Gmail thread that receives excessive responses. Mute conversation

Silencing a thread that receives excessive responses can provide severe suspension to users by sending an email across the office. It’s a simple feature – but it’s a bit buried. Check the box to the left of an email you received and a menu bar will appear at the top. Click on the three dots to display the drop-down menu and select mute for a sweet, sweet email silence. Gmail is free, but that does not mean it should be basic. Make the most of your account by applying all the available features.
