It happened at a house in the 12500 block of Cooperstown around 12:30 p.m. According to Houston Police Department officers, an elderly woman who was home alone was knocked on the door by a man wearing a scrub who claimed to be a health worker. Police said the woman refused to let the man in and called her son, who happened to be a few blocks away. Police said the son arrived and found that the man had broken down the door and shot the suspect as he was forced out of the house.
