Environment Canada issued snow warning for the northeastern parts of the region, including the highest altitudes in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Anmore and Maple Ridge. Some areas could see up to five inches of white material, with the heaviest snowfall expected during the move Tuesday morning. Meteorologists say that we expect sudden problems of visibility on the road and rapid accumulation of snow on higher ground. Environment Canada says the turbulence will be “highly variable but affecting”, with possible snow even at sea level. A snow warning is also in effect for East Vancouver Island, including the Campbell River, where by Tuesday afternoon it could have dropped as much as 10 inches.
