A teenager from Stephenville Crossing was arrested for driving with drug problems after a car accident near Stephenville. The car left route 490 shortly before 9:00 on Tuesday morning. RCMP Bay St. George says the driver, a 19-year-old man tested positive for drug control equipment on the side of the road. Inside the vehicle, police found an unmarked amount of smuggled cannabis, 11 grams of shredded (strong synthetic cannabis form), 47 suboxone strips, 40 oxycodone tablets and 10 suspected codeine tablets, as well as drug paraphernalia. The man was released but drug charges are pending. The car has been confiscated.
