Subway gunman Frank James was arrested while walking in the East Village in lower Manhattan, a day after he shot ten people on a crowded train in Brooklyn. James was taken into custody Wednesday on 1st Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets after a passerby recognized him and called police.
More details are expected at a press conference at 14:00. His arrest on Wednesday puts an end to a shameful, all-day manhunt by the FBI and NYPD. Now that he is in custody, attention will be focused on why police were slow to find him in a city covered by surveillance cameras.
The cameras inside the 36th Street station were not working yesterday when the train opened fire heading north at 8.24 a.m. This meant that he managed to escape as injured passengers spilled on the platform covered in blood.
James, 62, posted videos on YouTube about violence, race, Eric Adams and crime in New York. He left Wisconsin, where he lived alone, on March 20 in a rented van, driving through Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania and then to New Jersey. He appears to have rented a U-Haul in Philadelphia sometime earlier this week and drove it to Brooklyn, dropping it on Kings Highway, five miles from 36th Street Station. He was then filmed entering the subway on Kings Highway shortly after 6 p.m. It is not clear what he did for the next two and a half hours before launching a smoke cannon and firing his pistol at the train. A suspect believed to be Frank James appears to have been arrested on First Avenue between 7th and 8th streets in Manhattan’s East Village on Wednesday, almost 30 hours after ten people were shot in the subway. The video was taken Wednesday morning as James, 62, was released. He shows him walking slowly down a street in Brooklyn, holding a bag behind him and holding a backpack in his other hand. He is wearing an orange construction vest James traveled the country for a month before the terror broke out on Wednesday In a bizarre appearance on FOX on Wednesday morning, Mayor Eric Adams could not explain why the cameras inside the 36th Street subway station – where the attack took place – were not working at the time of the attack. “Our goal is to find out if other stations have problems with the cameras,” he told the MTA, adding that he had been in “communication” with them, then coughing and drinking water from a glass of wine as a reminder that he had just tested positive for COVID. Yesterday’s attack is the culmination of a worsening crime problem that has terrified New Yorkers for the past two years. Violent subway crime has risen more than 60 percent since this season last year, despite Mayor Adams’ promise to put more police on trains and stations. However, no one knows how James managed to escape after shooting ten people on train N heading north. For weeks before the attack, he posted unreserved and disturbing videos on YouTube about the race and how he would never return alive to Wisconsin – where he lived.
James posted dozens of videos of riots on YouTube talking about racial wars, prisons, violence and moving out of Wisconsin It has now emerged that he was known to the FBI and was questioned in 2019 in New Mexico, although it is not yet clear why. It was liquidated, but entered the “Guardian Lead” system of the state.

Questions to answer as the 62-year-old New York subway shooting suspect remains on the run

How did he escape?
More than a day later, the perpetrator remains at large, despite the fact that hundreds of more police officers have been deployed in the manhunt. The mayor said that a “malfunction” was the reason for the failure to record video of the suspect in three subways. The MTA said last fall that it had installed security cameras at all 472 metro stations across the city, saying it would put criminals on an “express trajectory before justice”.
Why did the FBI crack down on the suspect and take no action on the hate videos and psychic unit imports he shared? The FBI is facing big questions after it turned out that the suspect in the shootings in Brooklyn was on the terrorists’ radar. The Office is said to have known the man in the past, but released him after several interviews. A source revealed the news update to Newsweek last night, saying the suspect had been introduced into the Guardian Lead terrorism monitoring system in New Mexico Why didn’t YouTube react to the unsuspecting videos of the suspects? YouTube usually deletes videos that it deems inappropriate, with young people often seeing their posts removed if they play copyrighted music in the background. But the tech giant, which is owned by Google, still seems to have failed to react to the much more serious case of the suspected killer in Brooklyn. James posted a series of inconceivable videos on social media, shouting about the race and how he “would never come back alive” just three weeks ago. He was constantly uploading clips of hate speech on the internet about how oppressed blacks were and how blacks and whites should have “no contact”. He also posted alarming memes about guns, bullets and 9/11 on Facebook, but no one was arrested by police. Why were the subway doors locked so that passengers could not escape? Terrifying footage emerged yesterday showing desperate passengers trying to escape the gunman by invading other wagons. A video captured them banging on locked subway doors as they were engulfed in smoke by the perpetrator’s smoke grenades. Others recorded themselves being pulled into the handle several times – proving it was closed – while the shooter appeared nearby. The MTA has been warned in advance about the dangers of keeping them locked up, and some, but not all, remain closed.
The Guardian Program is the office’s system for monitoring terrorist threats and suspicious incidents. Despite being on this list, James was unhindered as he posted relentlessly clips full of hate speech on YouTube about how oppressed blacks were and how blacks and whites should have “no contact” for weeks before from Tuesday’s attack. He also posted alarming memes about guns, bullets and 9/11 on Facebook, but no one was arrested by police. In the video of March 20, entitled “STOP ONE COMPLETE”, he gave an ominous warning about his plans. Speaking from the position of driver of a rented van, he said: “As I leave Wisconsin, where I am about to return to Illinois, all I can say is: Have a good getaway. I will never go back alive to that m **** r. ‘ At the beginning of the video, he talked about his plans to drive to Philadelphia. “I’m on my way to Philadelphia. I packed my bags. I got up, even though it was raining, went to my storage unit, loaded it and then finished my apartment this morning. “I’m on my way to Philadelphia. I should be there … I will take my time though. “This is the first part of my journey, it’s been a long time since I had to drive so far. But we will find out. “All my driving on Instacart paid off or something. We will definitely find the f ***. ‘ Two days before the shooting, he posted another video in which he said blacks were being forced into violence because of racism. “This is what white b and white m

  • expect you to be… when you get one of their minds – this is what you asked for. “That’s how you wanted me to be, obviously,” he said. He drank white rum and had finished the bottle. At the end of his last video, he said: “Why should a **** r be on this planet other than picking up tobacco or a sugar plant. There is no natural reason for there to be something like an American Negro, African American, there is no reason for that. Other than being a slave. This is the position you are entitled to, it will always be. Until you create a black state of Israel that you do not want. Do you want to send your a ** to the ghetto and play n **** r. “This is the rationale behind Ukraine. It is to get rid of your a **. Nuclear devices are to be discarded. The President of Ukraine calls for a nuclear war. And so, I’m talking about my situation, but what can you do? “This is life in the ghetto. I have said everything I wanted to say in this video. I will complete this 100 receipt. I will finish this s ** t. That knocked me out. I can hardly speak. Leave the rest for tomorrow. I’m going to take my a ** to bed. I will talk to you later, relax. Be nice.’ In another video, he said: “This nation was born out of violence, kept alive by its violence or threat, and will die a violent death. “Nothing is going to stop this,” James said in a YouTube video called “Prophet of Truth88.” The bizarre, obscene videos on YouTube posted by James, who is black, are full of violent language and fanatical comments, sometimes against other blacks. He also appears to share conspiracy theories – such as the claim that the Twin Towers could never have been shot down by planes on 9/11. A video, released on April 11, criticizes the crime against blacks and says that drastic action is needed. “You have kids who go here now and get machine guns and cut innocent people,” says James. “It’s not going to improve until we improve,” he said, adding that he believed things would only change if some people were “kicked, kicked and tortured” out of their “comfort zone.” “I’m now in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the Comfort Inn Suites for the night. “My next leg will be … I’m taking my time. I will definitely go to Philly by Tuesday.
