Sophie George, 18 at the time, wrote a “worrying” to-do list as she plotted to kidnap, torture and kill Adam Yiosese. It included notes that read “led to the grave” – where he had dug the ground for preparation – “torture” and “kill and bury”. George, now 20, picked up shopping bags full of protective clothing, bleach and cleaning equipment, duct tape and a Stanley knife, according to the Hove Crown Court. Mr. Yiosese, 23, arranged to pick her up in a vehicle on October 10, 2020, before instructing him to drive to a house where he had stored his bags. George insisted on taking them to a nearby park. However, he resisted and she grabbed the steering wheel on several occasions to try to force him to go in the direction he wanted. When the couple arrived in Shelsfield Drive, next to the A270 that crosses Brighton, they pulled out a knife and threatened Mr. Josese. A race started, which spilled out of the van leading to the road. He was able to throw the knife at a bush. When he called the police, George attacked him again, biting his finger so hard that he pierced the skin and left a wound that exposed the bone.
