Texas may be ready for a legal confrontation with the Biden administration over immigration policy, as the state attorney general said he would urge GOP Governor Greg Abbott to send immigrants to Washington – in violation of federal laws. Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton has acknowledged a 2012 Arizona Supreme Court v. United States case that barred states from pursuing their own immigration policies and posed a “problem” for Texas’s efforts. However, he wants Texas to move immigrants to Biden’s doorstep and suggested that the Supreme Court, now with a solid 6-3 conservative majority, could take a fresh look at the issue. PSAKI DISMISSED THE GOVERNOR OF TEXAS. ABBOTT PLANS TO TRANSPORT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO US CAPITOLIS AS “PUBLIC” “I think this was a wrong decision,” Paxton told Fox and Friends about the Arizona affair. “So I urge the governor to force people to leave our state and get the federal government to sue us. [and] take it back to the US Supreme Court. “ In an interview with Fox News Digital Saturday, Paxton said he did not dare the Biden government to sue Texas, rather: “I dare them to follow federal law. But if they do not do it, why not the governor can protect his state? Republicans, as well as some Democrats, are protesting that the Biden government will cancel the May 23 public health emergency of Title 42, which was used to expel the majority of immigrants to the border because of the coronavirus pandemic. They have warned that it will cause an increase in migration – in addition to the already huge numbers that the Border Patrol encounters every day. The Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) said Friday it had sent an unspecified number of buses to small Texas communities flooded by an influx of immigrants stationed there by the federal government, according to officials. Paxton said he believes preparations are being made, but the actual transfer to Washington, DC, will not take place until next month to coincide with the repeal of Title 42, but has postponed questions about the timetable to the governor. Abbott’s office referred the bus to TDEM, which said Paxton’s remarks were “incorrect” and that “the operation is currently ongoing”. Seth Christensen, head of media and communications for TDEM, quoted Fox News Digital in a statement Friday, which also noted that communities that initially sought support “have now said that the federal government has stopped sending migrants to their cities.” following the Governor’s announcement on Wednesday. “ DEM REP.
