Texas has sent buses to the southern border to pick up illegal immigrants after Gov. Greg Abbott said this week he planned to send those released to his state in the US Capitol in Washington, DC. In the past 24 hours, the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) has sent an unspecified number of buses to small Texas communities said by officials to be flooded by an influx of immigrants stationed there by the federal government. The head of Media and Communication for TDEM told Fox News Digital. Christensen also said a majority of states in the state that have expressed concern about the large number of illegal immigrants being placed in their communities now say the federal government has “stopped dumping immigrants into their cities” since Abbott’s announcement. Nim Kidd, head of the Texas Department of Emergency Management, said at the time that his office would “use as many buses as we need” to follow Abbott’s instructions.
