The federal budget table last week focused on the transition to a green economy, with new investments in critical minerals and metals, expanding the availability of zero-emission vehicles and charging stations. The new national emissions reduction plan added a target this month that one in five new cars sold will have zero emissions by 2026, rising to 60 percent by 2030. This is higher than the 50 percent target set by the Liberals less than a year ago. Trinto is also expected to meet with Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps later in the day.
