The crash happened around 9.50 a.m. heading east between junction 36 (Goole) and junction 37 (Howden), East Yorks. The driver of the car, a 54-year-old, and a driver of one of the heavy vehicles, a 53-year-old, were found dead at the scene.
A 15-year-old girl had to be taken to hospital after the accident and remains there in serious condition, police say. The highway had to be completely closed after the accident, with emergency services present by 6pm.

HullLive reports that two heroic men rushed to the crash to save the girl from the truck as it began to engulf in flames. Police are now appealing to anyone who saw the accident or who may have taken video from the dashboard to contact them.
A Humberside police spokesman said: “The investigation is ongoing as two people were killed in a collision on the M62 yesterday, Wednesday 6 April. The collision occurred at around 9:50 a.m. on the east road between intersection 36 ( Goole) and intersection 37 (Howden) when one HGV collided with one car, the car then collided with another HGV.

“A 54-year-old man who was driving the car and a 53-year-old man who was driving one of the HGVs at the time of the collision, unfortunately were found dead on the spot. A 15-year-old girl was arrested at the hospital for receiving medical treatment for injuries where she remains in serious condition.
“The families of those who have lost loved ones have been informed and are currently being supported by specially trained officers, our thoughts are with them at this really difficult time. Our team would like to thank the members of the public who stood by to help those involved. in the crash.
“We are now appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at that time and may have video from the dashboard. We would also like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or vehicles before the collision call our emergency number 101 quoting calendar 110 of April 6. “
