Police say two people were arrested and a stolen vehicle was found after a traffic stop in the early hours of Tuesday. At around 3 a.m. Tuesday, police said, a Mountie was patrolling the Valleyview area when she saw a vehicle reportedly stolen traveling on the Trans-Canada Highway and Vicars Street. Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said the vehicle entered a gas station and police stopped traffic. According to the police, the driver was arrested for possession of stolen property and issued a violation card for not having a driver’s license. A passenger was also arrested for allegedly violating the terms of the suspension. Police said both were released on a court date and charges are expected after the end of the investigation.
