The video presented is from a previous report. Tire Sampson died in March after falling from a FreeFall drop tower walk in ICON Park, Orlando. FreeFall lifts riders and then throws them almost 400 feet at speeds in excess of 75 mph, according to the park. Crump, who represents Sampson’s father, toured a section of the park on Tuesday as investigators were seen inspecting the route, which is separated by a security roadblock and adorned with a makeshift monument. “Apart from the tragic video of George Floyd’s torture, I think this is the worst tragedy ever recorded on video,” Crump said. “We are conducting a thorough investigation into the tragic murder of this 14-year-old child. This was completely preventable.” RELATED: “I felt like a dream”: A witness narrates the moment a teenager falls to his death from a walk in an amusement park in Florida The lawyer did not provide further details about the video or the incident, CNN reported. The state agency investigating the incident, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), has hired a forensic engineering firm to assist with the investigation, FDACS Commissioner Nikki Fried said Friday. Florida-based Quest Engineering and Failure Analysis “will essentially represent the scene and draw conclusions about what happened,” Fried said. Sampson’s seat during the ride was “still in a down and locked position when the ride stopped,” according to an accident report filed by the pilot with the FDACS fair ride division. The teenager got out of the seat when magnets slowed down the route during the descent, according to the report, which was based on witnesses of the route officials and was obtained by CNN. The report named three witnesses, all of whom are listed as officials. There are also questions about whether the teenager may have been too old to be allowed to walk. His father, Yarnell Sampson, asked that question a day after his son’s death, telling CNN: “My son was 6’5, 340. So he’s a big guy.” The route operation and maintenance manual, which has been posted online by FDACS, states that the maximum passenger weight is 130 kg (approximately 287 lbs). “Be careful when looking for large guests to fit in the seats. Check that they fit the contour of the seat and that the arm fits properly. If not – Do not let this person lead,” the manual states. RELATED: Who regulates the amusement parks? Questions that arise after the boy falls from the ICON Park ride and dies It is not clear if the newer Sampson fits the contour of the seat or if the bracket fits properly. The FreeFall route is closed while the fatal incident is being investigated. Last week, the Slingshot Group announced that it had suspended another of its walks in the park, the SlingShot.
