The London Metropolitan Police are investigating allegations that multiple social events took place in government offices during the Covid-19 pandemic at a time when ordinary Britons were instructed to avoid or reduce social gatherings. Police on Tuesday said they had so far issued 50 fines in connection with parties on state property.
