The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky have widely praised on social media for their solidarity with Russian aggression. A video of Johnson released by Ukraine’s Defense Ministry shows him and Zelensky walking provocatively through the streets of Kiev talking to locals. “This is what democracy looks like,” the defense ministry wrote on Twitter. “This is what courage looks like. This is what true friendship between peoples and nations looks like.” In another Twitter post, Johnson hailed the Ukrainians for having “the courage of a lion.” “The president (Zelensky) gave the roar of this lion,” Johnson wrote on Twitter. “The United Kingdom stands unwaveringly on the side of the people of Ukraine.” Many Twitter users praised the scene, calling the leaders courageous in the face of Russian aggression. Shaun Biley, a Conservative MP, said the scene was a “true show of leadership”. “We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine as they fight for freedom and resist tyranny and oppression,” he wrote. It confirmed an additional $ 500 million in World Bank lending, raising Britain’s total loan guarantee to $ 1 billion.
