The wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said she has not been able to see her husband for more than a month as Russia’s invasion of their country continues. Olena Zelenska told CNN in an interview published Wednesday: “Volodymyr and his team actually live in the President’s office. Because of the danger, my children and I were barred from staying there. So for more than one month we only communicate by phone. “ Both Zelensky and his wife have refused to leave Ukraine since the Russian invasion began on February 24. Zelensky told CBS’s “60 Minutes” in an interview aired Sunday that he and his staff had been working and sleeping in the Kiev administration since the invasion began. It is not clear if his wife visited him there in the early days of the war. Zelensky told CBS that his team was working in the dark for fear of being targeted by Russian troops. The network broadcast footage of dark corridors and mattresses on the floor where soldiers slept.
