One of the questions they asked me was: “Where can I find a dark chocolate egg that contains a lot of nuts?” At Easter, I rarely go dark chocolate (although, see later) must be milk for me, but Venchi makes some great deals with black eggs so cut with hazelnut pebbles, from £ 13 / 70g, it is strangely charming like smallpox. (For an egg bite, in general, nothing beats an Gabriella Cugno egg, but they were sold out two weeks ago, 48 hours after release). Speaking of “none betters”, I have spent a year trying to find better mini eggs from Chantal Coady’s Chocolate Detective Bird’s Eggs, 75 12.75. And I did not succeed – the ones I have to prefer are the egg yolks, pink and plenty of praline. Bare Bones has released its first Easter egg this year, 22 £, an amazing offer, in 60% Honduran milk chocolate, I am happy to say. Luisa’s Vegan Chocolates has some wonderful flat bunnies, called Luigi, from 50 9.50, in dark chocolate or Casholate (cashew nuts) in “milk” or white. But my absolute favorite here was the “flat” chocolate egg 75% of the Solomon Islands with Sicilian orange peel, 9.70 £. So good that I ate it all in one sitting. Follow Annalisa on Twitter @AnnalisaB
