In a post, the science center and the charity said: “Our space was evacuated after a fire alarm was triggered by a fire on our roof. “Avon Fire and Rescue Service and police are currently on site, all staff and visitors have been registered. More updates are available as soon as we have them.” Shortly after 2:30 p.m., a fire alarm was heard in Millennium Square and dramatic photos show smoke falling into the sky behind the amusement park wheel. The flames were visible on the roof of the science center. Firefighters were seen entering the building from behind, during which staff and police led the crowd to the Pero bridge.
