Firefighters received a call from Ottawa police at 2:38 a.m., alerting them to the incident, where a woman was trapped in a vehicle but was able to make an emergency call through her Apple Watch. The crews started rescue operations at around 3 in the morning and the woman was released at 3:20 a.m. Ottawa rescuers said the woman was taken to the trauma center with serious injuries. The fire department advises that it is safer to stay in your vehicle on fast-moving highways, as motorists may not see you if you get out of it. If you get caught in a conflict and find yourself trapped, call 911 if you can. Answer the questions of the senders as best you can and follow their instructions. If you are trapped in a vehicle after a collision, keep your seat belt on until the firefighters arrive, especially if you are upside down to avoid falling and further injuring yourself or someone else in the vehicle with you.
