Officers responded to reports of a fight at level 500 at the Rogers Center shortly before 10:30 p.m. A woman and a man were reportedly involved in a physical altercation with several other spectators at the game. Police tried to separate the groups and de-escalate the situation. The woman and the man were called to leave the stadium due to disorderly conduct and then the woman punched a police officer in the face, police said. No injuries were reported. On Saturday, police said a 27-year-old woman from Toronto had been arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and drunkenness in a public place. The match was the first home match in the city since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
